[Legal responsibility of human action and God’s sustenance and guidance]
وَالمَقْتُولُ مَيِّتٌ بِأَجَلِهِ، وَالمَوْتُ قائِمٌ بِالْمَيِّتِ، مَخْلُوقٌ للَّهِ تَعَالَى، لاَ صُنْعَ لِلْعَبْدِ فِيهِ تَخْلِيقًا وَلاَ اْكْتِسَابًا،
023- A slain person is dead at his appointed time, [[death is firmly established in the dead, a creation of God and humans have no making (ṣanuʿ) in it by creation or by acquisition —missing text]] The appointed time (ajal) is one.
وَالأَجَلُ وَاحِدٌ، والحَرَامُ رِزْقٌ، وَكُلٌّ يَسْتَوْفي رِزْقَ نَفْسِهِ حَلاَلاً كانَ أَوْ حَرَاماً، وَلاَ يُتَصَوَّرُ أَنْ لاَ يَأْكُلَ إِنْسَانٌ رِزْقَهُ أَوْ يَأَكُلَ غَيْرُهُ رِزْقَهُ. وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ. وَمَا هُوَ الأَصْلَحُ لِلْعَبْدِ فَلَيْسَ ذلِكَ بِوَاجِبٍ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى.
The forbidden thing (al-ḥarām) is still Appointed Sustenance (rizq). Everyone receives in full his Appointed Sustenance whether from things permitted (ḥalāl) or forbidden; and it is inconceivable that a man will not eat his own Appointed Sustenance or that another than he will eat his Appointed Sustenance. God, the exalted, leads astray (yuḍillu) whom He wills and guides aright (yahdī) whom He wills, and it is not incumbent on God to do that which is best for humans.
